What is a dividend?Sentence: A dividend is a shareholder’s share of the profits of a company. For every share you own as a Phuthuma Nathi shareholder, you will receive a dividend if one is declared by the company. When will I receive my Phuthuma Nathi dividends?Dividends are only paid out of the profits of the company and are not guaranteed. You will receive a dividend if one is declared by the company.

If the proposed dividend is approved at the Annual General Meeting, it will be paid during September. See our Integrated Annual Reports

How are my Phuthuma Nathi dividends paid to me?Phuthuma Nathi is listed on the Equity Express Securities Exchange (EESE). In line with the EESE Exchange Rules , Phuthuma Nathi works with the EESE Exchange’s broker, Singular Systems to pay you your dividends. Singular Systems will pay your dividends to the FICA verified bank account listed on your trading account.
Phuthuma Nathi shareholders must make sure that their banking details and FICA documents are up to date. If your details are outdated, your dividends cannot be paid to you. If your details have changed, please contact the Phuthuma Nathi Call Centre on 086 011 6226 from 7am to 6pm Monday – Friday (excluding public holidays) and we will explain the necessary steps. If you are a company, in order to receive your dividends you must also submit your annual B-BBEE verification certificate for the relevant year to confirm that you meet Phuthuma Nathi’s B-BBEE criteria and may still. To submit your B-BBEE verification certificate please contact the Phuthuma Nathi Call Centre on 086 011 6226 from 7am to 6pm Monday – Friday (excluding public holidays).

I did not receive my Phuthuma Nathi dividends? What should I do?If you are a Phuthuma Nathi shareholder and have not received your dividends, it is possible that your bank account details or FICA details on record are incorrect or invalid. If your details are outdated, your dividends cannot be paid to you. Please contact the Phuthuma Nathi Call Centre on 086 011 6226 from 7am to 6pm Monday – Friday (excluding public holidays) and we will assist you with updating your details. We take protection of your personal information seriously, so when you call, please be prepared to answer some security questions so that we can verify that we are speaking to the correct person.

This means that Singular Systems assists us with things like running the Phuthuma Nathi Call Centre, updating our share register, verifying that Phuthuma Nathi shareholders are eligible to hold shares under our rules, and assisting us with sending communications to you, our shareholders. Someone in my family has passed away. What happens to their dividends?In the unfortunate event that a loved one has passed away, their shares and dividends will be dealt with in accordance with their last will and testament. If the person did not have a will, their shares and dividends will be dealt with in accordance with Intestate Succession Act, 1987.
If you need any assistance with deceased estates, please contact the Phuthuma Nathi Call Centre on 086 011 6226 from 7am to 6pm Monday – Friday (excluding public holidays) for guidance about what documents are required for deceased estates.
Please note that for security purposes, our agents can only share information about the deceased person’s shares and dividends with authorised representatives or executors appointed to act on behalf of the estate. Agents will conduct full verification and will require documentary evidence in this regard.
